stupid policy

OKU means orang kurang upaya n here's a definition (n the policy of oku) from the JKM's website:

2. DEFINISI

....

n i wonder what happen to people with hearing disability. when they say 'ketidakupayaan jangka masa panjang dari segi fizikal, mental bla2'... so org2 pekak tu bkn ketidakupayaan ke?

stupid policy.yes, they do say 'orang kurang upaya' in the policy.in the website.but when u go to jkm asking their assistance in something.. this is what u get:

"maaf ye..orang kurang upaya tu untuk yg cacat fizikal je.cacat pendengaran x boleh apply". wth?

bodohnye.. the officer even show us the dasar belanjawan 2001 which actually, refers to oku as those with physical diabilities ONLY. bodoh siot.

my brother is an oku. he have that OKU card but he cant use it since he has hearing disability instead of physical disability. god, for 28 years... he received zero help from any organisation except from his speech therapist (she migrated to canada out of frustation of the government's policy towards deaf people).

n whats he point giving him the OKU card when he cannot ejoy the benefit? bodohnye. not to mention the length that he had to wait to get the card. everytime pegi jkm, they'll go like "oh, masih dlm proses...o..x siap lagi la..." n he only got his card after my mom called dato' sape tah...5 years to process an application for a useless card? heh.sapela agaknye yg buat polisi ni.

gosh.discrimination? duh.

i thought "pancaindera" includes hearing. and hearing disability should be considered a physical disability, kan?
